As a loan officer working just outside Houston, Texas, I often have the opportunity to finance property for first-time rural landowners. Many of these customers have moved from rural areas to the city and are now returning to their roots in the country.

In my experience, there are certain common questions and concerns that come up with almost all of my first-time rural landowners, including those who grew up in the country. Just like first-time homebuyers, they often have questions about the financing process. Even more important, they want to know what to do with the land once the purchase is complete.
